Post-conference Workshop

SHARE Center Data for Research and Resources for the Classroom

This optional post-conference workshop will run on Friday afternoon (01 Feb, 2019), from 15:15 to 17:30, at the University of Nicosia.

This session is for hospitality and tourism educators, researchers and students. Participants will be introduced to the various analytics-related training programs and student certifications that are available from the STR SHARE Center. The content of each training program will be reviewed including samples and case scenarios. Educators will learn how to implement the various training and student certifications so they can offer these programs to their own students. Additionally, participants will be introduced to the various types of hospitality and tourism data that are available from the SHARE Center for academic research and for student projects. Different types of data will be reviewed and examples of research will be demonstrated. Time will be available to discuss specific classroom and research needs of each participant.

 

 

How to get to University of Nicosia

Public Transport

OSEL urban bus routes run every half hour until around 18:00. Limited services at weekends. €1.50 per ride or €5 a day / €15 a week for unlimited travel within a district. See the OSEL website.

Several bus routes run from downtown to the University; the quickest is No.123. All start from Solomou Square. Most buses stop at 28 Oktovriou Avenue, 200–300 metres from the University entrance.
